Only a street away from the frenetic crowds and yet a world away from the high-energy fast-paced atmosphere of Takeshita Street, Meiji Dori and Omotesando Avenue lies Cat Street, a quaint strip that resides in a quiet, unassuming neighbourhood that doesn't quite seem to fit in with the crazy and colourful picture we paint of Harajuku.
It's got a vibe so completely contrasting to other parts of Harajuku that it makes you wonder why the crazy crowds haven't spilt over to it yet. It's not that well-kept secret of a place, and yet it seems that visitors there purely respect the peace.
Pictured: Waratako takoyaki! We got the super spicy sauce that turned out to be mediocre spicy. But it was still good.
Pictured: Candy Show Time candy store. Super cute, worth a drop in. On the day we went, they were giving out free samples of their 'yoghurt' flavoured candy...it was oishi.

Pictured: One of the most popular stores on Cat Street. Has all the luxury and street brands in one place. Never went in but would like to go back to check it out. Plus that guy riding his bike giving me the side eye just makes this pic. Lol.
Pictured: Just strolling along Cat Street. How does a place so trendy and peaceful exist next to Takeshita street?! It's insane how different they are (this is the billionth time I've said that but I still can't get over it).
Pictured: Good Town Doughnuts.
Pictured: Number Sugar, a caramel sweet store. Super hip. I bought a ginger caramel to try for 180 yen (pictured). It was surprisingly good.
10/10 would come back!
